Sound-selection and musical functions of the VARIO App

The VARIO app for iOS & iPadOS enables you to set up and control your VARIO digital system. It was designed and developed to be an organic part of our acoustic instruments.

With Apple‘s mobile operating systems, the 3D user interface unfolds different function blocks as needed, and the app blends seamlessly into the overall impression of your piano, for example with a tablet placed on the piano‘s music desk.

In addition, it offers a number of musical functions and the exchange with other apps under iOS & iPadOS.

Compatibility & System Requirements

The VARIO App is available for iOS/iPadOS (from version 13) and is compatible with iOS/iPad OS version 15 (latest updates recommended).

It supports functions such as Dark Mode, SplitView, etc. and is available in German, English and French.

The VARIO App for Android

Setup & control made easy

The VARIO App enables you to set up and control your VARIO digital system (duet and connect / connect+).

Connect the VARIO via USB or or Bluetooth-LE to your smartphone or tablet and benefit from these possibilities and comfort functions:

Control functions

  • Sound selection
  • Sound settings (for piano)
  • Volume
  • Room selection and volume
  • Graphic Equalizer
  • Saving the settings as one of 4 favourites
  • Favourites can then be selected via the hardware key without an app

Visualization

  • Continuous bar display of the velocity

Setup / Settings

  • Calibration of the keys
  • Key calibration (hammer release and damper release)
  • Dynamic curve for the entire keyboard / multiple zones
  • Calibration of the pedals
  • Adjusting the pedal shifting points

Hardware requirements and supported operating system

  • Smartphone or tablet
  • Android version 8.1 and higher

Tip: MIDI functions are available independently of the VARIO app under all mobile and desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Unix/Linux). So you can already use MIDI functions with your own apps.
