More about VARIO duet

More than just playing ‘silent’

Acoustic kisses Digital

C. Bechstein digital systems are holistic solutions that value the acoustic instrument as such. They add to it numerous digital applications for creative music making.

Digital extension

The C. Bechstein Connect adds digital components to your acoustic instrument, combining high-quality music electronics with masterful upright and grand pianos.

State-of-the-art sensor technology precisely captures your playing and translates it into digital signals. This opens the door to a virtually limitless ecosystem of creative apps and music software.

VARIO Silent-System

Play undisturbed on your own or allow neighbors and roommates their peace and quiet: This is made possible by our hammer stop bar, exclusively developed for all piano and grand piano models. Simply put your piano into silent mode in no time at all and enjoy your playing through headphones.

The high-quality sampled sound shines with clear delineation across the entire dynamic range and makes individual notes literally tangible.

Bluetooth & USB-C

Connect your smartphone, tablet or notebook via USB-C or wirelessly via Bluetooth to your instrument. Record yourself with the C. Bechstein Record app and share your music with friends.

Tune the digital piano sound via the VARIO app and adjust parameters such as reverb algorithms, velocity and piano sounds according to your individual needs. Explore the world of music with other creative apps for learning, playing, and composing.

The heart of the C. Bechstein digital systems

The sensor technology

Invisible under the keyboard, our sensor system detects the finest nuances in the movements of the keys. The sensor system works optically and thus contactless – without any influence on the playability and the aesthetic experience of your acoustic instrument.
